 THE HOME - SCHOOL AGREEMENT

     At Britannica, we believe in:

• working in partnership with parents in the best interests of their children

 THE SCHOOL

         We shall:

1. contact you if there is a problem with your child's attendance, behaviour, punctuality, appearance or equipment

2. provide you with information about what your child will be studying and set and mark homework

3. keep you regularly informed of your child's progress through written reports and parents' evenings

4. keep you informed about school activities through newsletters and notices of special events

5. promote high quality work and behaviour through good relationships

6. not tolerate bullying or personal harassment

7. respond quickly to your enquiries or concerns  

THE PARENTS

         I /we shall:

1. see that my child goes to school regularly, arrives on time and is correctly dressed and equipped

2. contact the School as early as possible on the first day of absence if my child will not be attending through illness or any other reason

3. tell the school about anything that might affect my child's learning

4. support the school's discipline and behaviour policies

5. support my child in homework and other opportunities for home learning

6. take an interest in my child's life at school by attending parents' evenings and other activities that they are involved in

7. pay all due school fees on time by the agreed date, and in the event of non-payment, accept that the school has the right to refuse admittance to my child, and to withhold school reports until the appropriate fees are paid

THE STUDENT

          I shall:

1. attend school regularly, arrive on time and be properly dressed

2. treat others with respect in and out of the classroom

3. learn to take responsibility for my own actions

4. work to the best of my ability and allow others to do the same

5. bring all the equipment that I need every day and be responsible for it

6. behave safely and report any incidents of bullying

7. care for the school environment

8. make the most of what the school has to offer me.
